Reshape Your Basket

No need to worry if your basket arrives slightly bent or out of shape. Just reshape it gently with water and molding, and it will be good as new.
1. Gently wet the basket:
Begin by gently misting or moistening the entire surface of the basket with water. The goal is not to soak it, but just to make the fibers supple and flexible.
2. Use cold water:
Keep the basket’s colours intact by using cool water instead of warmer temperatures.
3. Gently mould the basket:
Carefully inspect the basket for any parts that are flattened or distorted. Gently mould these areas back to their original shape using your fingers.
4. For more stubborn areas:
If certain areas are more difficult to reshape, try wrapping the basket in a damp, soft cloth or towel. This will add moisture and help the fibres relax and reform.
For baskets that are difficult to reshape, you can put weights or heavy objects inside to keep their form as they dry. Use clean, non-absorbent materials to avoid leaving marks.
5. To maintain its shape during drying, consider placing newspaper or kraft paper inside.
6. Let it dry naturally:
After shaping your basket to your liking, allow it to dry on its own. Avoid using heat or exposing it to direct sunlight, which can cause warping or brittleness. Find a cool, dry place for it to air dry.
